06 May 20 - Bouncy castle hire and the Coronavirus lockdown

How are we keeping you safe when you hire a bouncy castle during the Coronavirus lockdown?

Nothing is more important to the team at Glendarragh Bouncy Castles than your safety. When the coronavirus outbreak hit, we - like a lot of other companies in the leisure supplies industry - were unsure as to how best to proceed, but we've been in close contact with leading industry groups to enable us to develop a plan that helps us keep you and the public safe when you're looking to hire bouncy castles.

The following information has been written with inflatable rentals in mind, but it applies to all our products, too!

Enhanced Hygiene Standards

  • We have provided all of our bouncy castle delivery, operation and cleaning staff with full personal protective equipment (PPE). This means we will arrive at your property wearing a mask and gloves.
  • As the coronavirus is reported to only survive on bouncy castle materials for a maximum of a few days, we are not providing the same bouncy castle to two different households in the same seven day period.
  • All of our bouncy castles are stored for 72 hours and then fully sanitised before being offered for hire.

Bouncy Castle Hire Restrictions

  • Our bouncy castles are no longer available for large event bookings until the lockdown restrictions begin to ease. We are only supplying bouncy castles for single-house use.
  • Bouncy castles should only be used for the occupants of the house they are being delivered to. Please do not allow friends or neighbours to use the bouncy castle.
  • To ensure we do not encourage large gatherings and events in Co Down, Belfast or elsewhere, we are only providing our standard bouncy castles and our bounce and slide combi units for hire. Items such as large inflatable slides, bungee runs and rodeo bulls are currently unavailable.
  • Bouncy castles may only be hired for use in gardens. If we are unable to set up the bouncy castle in your garden, we will be unable to complete the hire. This is to discourage use from anyone outside of your household.
  • Bouncy castles will now only be delivered on Friday and will only be collected on Sunday. As all hires are for the full weekend, the hire price has increased by £30.

Improved social distancing

  • Our bouncy castle delivery staff will now aim to supply inflatables throughout County Down, Belfast and our other targeted delivery areas without coming into contact with any customers.
  • To help us achieve this, we would like it if you can stay inside the house while we set up the bouncy castle in your garden, and if you supply us with full access to your garden from the street. Online payments or bank transfer are also preferred to cash on arrival.
  • We also ask you to stay in the house at the designated collection time.
  • Please do not hire a bouncy castle if you are experiencing any symptoms of coronavirus / COVID19, or if you believe you may be infectious.
